2022 Mentee

Deandra Simon was born in Queens, New York, and still resides in this city to pursue her career as an aspiring Creative Executive and Producer. She graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in English and Minored in Africana Studies from John Jay College. In pursuit of her continued passion to learn, she continued her education with a Masters of Science in Media Studies at Brooklyn College.

Deandra is a lover of all things media and social issues. As a result, her professional career includes work with Apple, BET, Disney, and Atlantic Records. She currently serves as a coordinator at WE TV managing unscripted programming and production.
